Monsoon rains continue to lash several parts of Kerala and Coastal Karnataka. Along with intensity, the spread of showers have also extended up to Konkan & Goa region.
All thanks to the cyclonic circulation that is now marked over South Karnataka and adjoining Kerala coast. The system is likely to move northwards along the West Coast and with this, rain belt will also shift.
On Saturday, rains will continue over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa but intensity will be light over Kerala.
While, another cyclonic circulation which was over Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andhra Pradesh has moved inland and is presently over South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Telangana.
With this, rain activity will increase over Chhattisgarh, South Odisha, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Interior Karnataka.
Meanwhile, a heat l ow can be seen over North Rajasthan, Punjab and adjoining Pakistan. A trough is also extending from this system up to this circulation, across Haryana, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
However, the trough will fail to bring any weather over North India and the region will continue to reel under high day temperatures.
Meanwhile, heatwave is all set to return over many parts of Northwest and Central India. In wake of dry and hot winds, we expect day temperatures to rise by 1 to 2°C over Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and -Vidarbha.
