Monsoon remains active to vigorous along the West Coast particularly over Konkan & Goa, and Coastal Karnataka. This was on account of the active off-shore trough running along the parts of West Coast.

Moreover, the cyclonic circulation in Arabian Sea off the Karnataka coast has become more marked but continues to persist in mid-levels.

Another circulation in Bay of Bengal has also become more organized and is now seen off the Andhra Pradesh coast.

With this, moderate to heavy showers will continue over Coastal Karnataka and Konkan & Goa. Mumbai could also see some heavy rains on Saturday as well as on Sunday.

Good Monsoon rains are also likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Coastal Odisha on Saturday. While, interiors parts of Peninsular India will continue with scattered showers only.

Moving upwards, we can see series of cyclonic circulations. First can be seen over Punjab and adjoining areas, while another one can be seen over Central Uttar Pradesh. Third one is marked over Chhattisgarh and neighboring areas.

An east-west trough can be seen running through these two circulations, extending up to Northeast region. While, secondary arm of the trough is running up to the system over Chhattisgarh.

Accordingly, pre-Monsoon weather activity of thundershowers and dust storm will continue over northern plains including Delhi.

While, light to moderate Monsoon rains will continue over foothills of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Isolated heavy rains are also likely over these places on Saturday.

Good rains are also likely over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
