Weather Forecast for June 23: Fresh Monsoon systems developing in Bay and Arabian Sea

Monsoon rains are enhancing by the day. Two fresh Monsoon systems are coming up on either side of the coastline. These will enhance rainfall activities over the country in due course of time.

Monsoon remains active along the West Coast. Moderate rain and thundershowers will continue in view of the off-shore trough all along the coast. Isolated heavy falls are likely over Karnataka and Goa region. Interiors will receive subdued rainfall activity. But, Monsoon will remain active over North Coastal Tamil Nadu and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. A rainy day like in the major cities of Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. Mumbai could receive on and off Monsoon rains.

The cyclonic circulation over South Rajasthan and Gujarat has been causing rains in Saurashtra region. This was instrumental in ushering Monsoon over South Gujarat.

A feeble cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha will possibly bring scattered rain and thundershowers over Vidarbha, South Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

The central India system has merged with the trough running across the Indo Gangetic plains. We can expect continuous heavy showers in East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

In the northern plains, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi could also see some thunderstorm activities tomorrow. These regions will remain susceptible to dust storm and thundershowers till the onset of Monsoon, probably by the fag end of this month.
