Monsoon surge continues to be week over the country barring parts of West Coast and Northeast India that have been recording moderate to heavy rains.
In absence of any significant weather system, we do not expect revival of Monsoon for at least next 3-4 days. Till then Monsoon rains would be confined to West Coast and Northeast India only.
Beginning with Northern region, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan. Also a trough elongates from this system up to the foothills of Uttarakhand. Hence, light showers are expected over parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

What’s more, isolated thunderstorm or thundershowers are expected over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Delhi and neighborhood will witness dry and hot weather.
Speaking about Central region, we can see a cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh and a trough stretches from this system up to Goa. Thus, light to moderate showers may occur over parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and moderate spells in parts of Konkan & Goa. Light to moderate rain show is likely in Mumbai.
There are chances of isolated showers in Chhattisgarh and remaining Maharashtra. However, it seems like hot and dry weather is in no mood to spare South Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Looking at east and northeastern parts; another cyclonic circulation can be seen over Assam. Thus, moderate rains with one two heavy spells will continue over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
Meanwhile, remaining northeastern states would witness light to moderate showers. There are also chances of isolated showers in Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.

Finally, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is expected over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka. This would be on account of the off shore trough along the West Coast.
Besides this, we can see few clouds over the sky of Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, henceforth light showers can be expected. There are also chances of isolated showers in Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
