Moving towards Central India, due to the trough extending across Gujarat region, isolated places of Gujarat may receive light rains. In fact, southern parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh will also receive light rains, due to an off shore running along the west coast. Moderate to heavy rains are also expected at many places of Konkan & Goa Coast, including Mumbai.
In south, due to the off-shore, light to moderate rains are expected over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka. In fact, light rains in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and remaining parts of Karnataka may occur.

Due to the combined effect of these systems, we expect moderate rains with few heavy spells over the northeastern states, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Thus, no relief is expected from the floods. Meanwhile, dry and hot weather will prevail over the rest all states of East India, though light rains cannot be ruled out.
