June 16, 2016 4:54 PM |

A fresh Monsoon system is seen brewing in Bay of Bengal which is likely to revive the Monsoon current once again. The cyclonic circulation is presently marked west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra and Odisha coast. Accordingly, on Friday, we can expect light to moderate rain with few isolated spell over Andhra Pradesh, South Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.

Parts of interior Maharashtra may also see isolated rainfall on Friday, which will increase gradually. The system will also activate the off-shore trough running all along the West Coast. With this, rains will pick up pace again on Friday all over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Konkan & Goa including Mumbai.

A trough is also seen extending from this system up to another cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining areas across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Accordingly, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely all along the well-marked trough line, even including parts of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Northeast India along with Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will also continue with light to moderate Monsoon rain and thundershowers. Meanwhile, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh will be mainly dry on Friday.
