The off-shore trough can still be seen along the West Coast, keeping the Monsoon rains active over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa. Seems like, Monsoon could slow down for now. And remain subdued over interiors of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
With the development of the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal Monsoon rains will gain strength once again from June 17 onwards. Around June 19, Monsoon could enter parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai.
Going upwards, we can see a trough joining the two cyclonic circulations. This will bring pre-Monsoon activities in terms of dust storm followed by thundershowers in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The Monsoon arm has reached West Bengal. Thus, widespread good showers are likely in the foothills of Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India.
Heatwave remains absent from the country. But, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh will remain hot and dry.
