The Monsoon surge is still active along the West Coast in view of the feeble trough off the Karnataka and Kerala coast. It will bring good showers in coastal Karnataka and scattered in rest of the West Coast. We are still awaiting Monsoon showers in Goa and Mumbai. As of now the city of dreams will receive only passing light rains. But, Monsoon will remain subdued over interiors of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Up in North India, pre-Monsoon activities will be seen for the next 3 days. The trough extending from the cyclonic circulation over Punjab will keep oscillating over the region. Expect some scattered dust storm followed by thundershowers in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Foothills could see good showers.
Due to the presence of the cyclonic circulation over here, constant moisture incursion is taking place from the Bay of Bengal. Widespread good showers are likely in the foothills of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India.
Heatwave conditions will not back in the country anytime soon. Nevertheless temperatures are still lower forties over parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh.
