Weather Forecast for June 13: Rain in Karnataka, Kerala, Konkan

Monsoon has further advanced over Maharashtra, Odisha, Northeast India and some more parts of West Bengal. Now, as the Monsoon current is weakening therefore we do not expect any further advancement of Monsoon for the next few days.

As an off-shore trough is running from Maharashtra to Kerala Coast. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rains to continue over Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. One or two heavy spells are likely over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, Interior Tamil Nadu, Interior Karnataka and Madhya Maharashtra may receive some rains.

Talking about central parts, Vidarbha, South Chhattisgarh and Southeast Madhya Pradesh may also receive few good spells of rain. The weather over Gujarat, South Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh will be dry and hot.

Further, as a cyclonic circulation is seen over Assam and a trough from this circulation is extending across Gangetic West Bengal. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rains with few heavy spells over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Light to moderate rains may occur over rest of Northeast India, West Bengal, East Bihar and parts of Odisha, Jharkhand and East Uttar Pradesh.

In North India, a cyclonic circulation is over Jammu and Kashmir and a trough is seen running along the foothills of Himalayas. Thus, we expect isolated rains over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh including Delhi will remain dry and hot. Heatwave may return to parts of Rajasthan.
