Monsoon 2016 is likely to cover some parts of Peninsular India and possibly few parts of Northeast India by the fag end of this week. While, North, Central and western parts of the country will see rising temperatures, especially from the second half of the week.
The cyclonic circulation marked over Haryana and adjoining areas is becoming less marked. The trough has also shifted northwards. Therefore, weather activity will now become minimal across the northern plains. Sunny skies will lead rise in temperatures. The hills will also witness pleasant weather conditions.
The cyclonic circulation over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoin Uttar Pradesh region will bring light rains over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal including Kolkata. But, we can say that the rains will now be on a reducing note.
The trough running from this system across Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and up to Telangana will bring some rainfall activity across the trough line.
The low level cyclonic circulation over Assam will continue to bring scattered rains over the region.
Monsoon like westerly winds are bringing continuous rains over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and adjoining interiors of Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema. Light rains are being observed in Konkan & Goa as well. Rain in Bangalore will continue for another 24 hours.
There is a small weather system over the Arabian Sea which could enhance rainfall activities over the coastal areas by the middle of this week.
Heatwave remains missing from the country. As have been said earlier it is not likely to come back anytime soon. Nevertheless, seasonal hot day conditions will continue over the several parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
