Monsoon 2017 to cover Kerala, some more parts of Tamil Nadu and parts of South Karnataka in the next two days. Good rainfall has been occurring over these regions and we expect the intensity of rainfall to increase.
A cyclonic circulation is developing over Southeast Bay of Bengal. Due to this, weather activities over Andaman and Nicobar islands may increase further.
Light to moderate rainfall activities with isolated heavy showers are likely to continue over Lakshadweep, Kerala and coastal Karnataka. Scattered rains will also continue over Interior Karnataka along with Konkan and Goa.
Coming to Central India, A trough is seen extending from East Uttar Pradesh up to Telangana. With this, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities may occur over Vidarbha, South Chhattisgarh and at one or two places of Marathwada. Madhya Maharashtra and parts of Gujarat may also continue to experience scattered rain and thunderstorm activities during the next 48 hours.
Coming to North India, the weather of entire Northwest India will remain dry and the temperatures are likely to increase over this region. Along with this, isolated places of West Rajasthan and Haryana may continue to experience heatwave type conditions during the next 24 hours.

Coming to East and northeast India, a trough is seen running along the Foothills of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Due to this trough, isolated thundery activities are possible over Foothills of Bihar with scattered rainfall activities over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Isolated rains are expected to continue over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. Scattered Monsoon rains will also continue over Northeast India.
