Weather Forecast for Jun 29: Rain in Delhi, Gujarat, Goa, Coastal Karnataka

Southwest Monsoon has covered South Rajasthan, most parts of Madhya Pradesh, entire Chhattisgarh and most parts of Bihar. The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Barmer, Chittorgarh, Guna, Siddhi and Patna.

Let us now see the weather conditions across India;

In North, a Western Disturbance is over East Jammu and Kashmir, due to which heavy to very heavy rains are possible over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

An induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. A trough is also extending across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Due to these combined weather systems, good showers are likely over parts of North Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. While, scattered light showers may occur over parts of Rajasthan.

Moving to east & northeast region, moderate showers may occur over Jharkhand, parts of Odisha along with foothills of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. However, rain will remain subdued over rest of Bihar, West Bengal and East Uttar Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation persists over East Assam; therefore the rain intensity is likely to increase again over northeastern states.

Coming to Central region, moderate to heavy rains are expected to continue over many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Down South, a low pressure area has developed near Saurashtra and Kutch region, and an off shore trough is extending up to Kerala. With this, moderate to heavy rains are likely over few areas of Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Mumbai is also expected to receive heavy rains.

Light rain will continue over Interior Maharashtra, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. While, rain over Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will remain isolated.
