Weather Forecast for Jun 28: Monsoon rains over Delhi, U.P, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa

Southwest Monsoon has now covered entire Gujarat, some more parts of Madhya Pradesh and a few areas of South Rajasthan. The Northern Limit of Monsoon is now passing through Barmer, Chittorgarh, Guna, Siddhi and Patna.

A western disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir due to which light to moderate rains are possible over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated pockets of Uttarakhand may also receive heavy rains.

An induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining areas. A trough is also extending across Northwest Plains. Due to these combined weather systems, rains are likely to increase over East Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and many parts of Uttar Pradesh. While, scattered light to moderate rains will occur over Rajasthan.

Coming to East India, few areas of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand are likely to receive rains. However, Odisha may receive some good spells of rain. A cyclonic circulation persists over East Assam, therefore light to moderate rains will continue over Northeast India.

Moving to Central India, Monsoon rains are likely over parts of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Chhattisgarh as well as Madhya Maharashtra may also receive a few spells of rainfall.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Down South, a Cyclonic Circulation is over South Gujarat and an off shore trough is extending up to Kerala. Due to this weather system good rains are likely over entire Gujarat and the West Coast including Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Kerala. The possibility of a few heavy spells of rains in isolated pockets cannot be ruled out.

Scattered rains are also likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While, Monsoon rains over Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu will remain subdued.
