Weather Forecast for Jun 27: Rain in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad

Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous along the West Coast giving heavy to extremely heavy rains over many areas of Konkan and Goa along with parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Now, conditions are favourable for further advancement of Monsoon during the next 3 to 4 days over most parts of Central India and Northwest plains including Delhi-NCR.

Now, let us take a look at the weather forecast across the country:

The Western Disturbance is over North Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining North Rajasthan and Punjab. A trough is also extending from this system across Northwest Plains.

With this, scattered rains will continue over hills. Also, rain activity will commence over northern plains of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and adjoining parts of Haryana.

Coming to East and Northeast India, a low-pressure area is over North Chhattisgarh and adjoining Jharkhand. This system will give scattered light to moderate rains over East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand. One or two heavy spells may occur over Odisha. Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal will receive some rains, while good showers will continue over Northeast India. Kolkata will also receive light rain

In Central India, light to moderate rains with isolated heavy showers are expected in Vidarbha, most parts of Madhya Pradesh, southern parts of Gujarat, Chhattisgarh will receive light to moderate showers with a few heavy spells in isolated pockets.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Down South, a cyclonic circulation is seen off Gujarat coast. A trough along the West Coast is extending up to Kerala. Thus, moderate rains with few heavy spells are likely along the West Coast. Mumbai will witness heavy rains as well.

Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana may witness a few good spells of rain. Rains will remain subdued over Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
