Weather Forecast for Jun 26: Monsoon rains to continue over Hyderabad, Mumbai, West Coast

Currently, Monsoon has been vigorous over Konkan and Goa region with heavy rains over Mahabaleshwar, Matheran and even Mumbai. Active Monsoon conditions were observed over other parts of West Coast.

Now let us take a look at the weather systems prevailing across the country:

A Western Disturbance is over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining North Rajasthan. A trough is also extending across the Northwestern plains.

However, not much weather activity is expected over the plains and hills of North India. However, isolated weather activity may occur over Rajasthan as well as Delhi-NCR.

Coming to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over North Bay of Bengal which likely to form a low pressure. Due to this, scattered rain is likely over West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Northeast India will also receive some rains.

Coming to Central India,
West and North Madhya Pradesh will remain dry. However, Southeast Rajasthan, South Madhya Pradesh along with South Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha along with interior parts of Maharashtra will witness scattered light to moderate rains.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

A cyclonic circulation is over South Pakistan and adjoining Gujarat. Also an off shore trough along the West Coast is active. Due to these combined weather systems, good rains will occur over Gujarat as well as Konkan and Goa. A few regions including Mumbai and other cities in Karnataka and Kerala coast may also witness heavy rains.

Moderate to heavy rains are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Hyderabad will also witness good showers. Meanwhile, rain will remain subdued over Tamil Nadu.
