Southwest Monsoon has advanced further and covered more parts of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. The NLM is running from Dwarka, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Khandwa, Betul, Mandla and Patna.
Conditions remain conducive for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours, while into remaining parts of Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during next 23 days.
In North, a fresh Western Disturbance may approach North Jammu and Kashmir, until then the hilly states of India may receive isolated showers. An induced cyclonic circulation is over North Pakistan and a trough is also extending from this system to Northwest Bay of Bengal. For now, humid weather will persist over the northwestern plains, however isolated thunderstorm activity cannot be ruled out. East Rajasthan could see some rains due to moisture incursion.
Moving to eastern region, two cyclonic circulations are embedded on the trough that extends from Northwest India to Northwest Bay of Bengal, one over North Uttar Pradesh and the other over Odisha and adjoining West Bengal. With these weather systems, the rain activity is likely to intensify over Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. Meanwhile, western parts of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh may witness isolated thunderstorms.

In northeast side, there is another cyclonic circulation over Assam and a trough extends from the circulation over Odisha to northeastern states. Thus, moderate to heavy showers will lash several parts of the region.
Coming to Central region, the rain activity is expected to increase over Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh and after 24 hours, the southern districts of Madhya Pradesh could also see more good rains.
Live status of Lightning and thunder
Down south, the off shore trough is running from South Gujarat till Kerala. In wake of this, coastal and southern parts of Gujarat and the west coastal regions of Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala may see good showers. Mumbai could also witness moderate rains and intensify gradually.
South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh may also witness increase in rain activity. Meanwhile Telangana, Tamil Nadu and North Karnataka will see subdued rains and Chennai may observe isolated thunderstorm.
