Favorable conditions are developing for further advancement of Southwest Monsoon at some places over Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar. During the last 24 hours, Monsoon remained active to vigorous over northeastern states. It remained active over Karnataka, South Konkan and Goa and normal over rest of South and East India.
Up in North, a Western Disturbance is seen running over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. A trough is seen extending from Punjab up to northeast India across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. With this, we expect moderate rainfall at many places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Due to these systems, the rain intensity over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours may increase. However, scattered rains are expected to continue over northern parts of Rajasthan. The temperatures will remain comfortable over many parts of northern plains.

In East and Northeast India, a trough is seen extending from this system via Bihar up to Assam. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to continue to occur over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and adjoining areas of Bihar.
Meanwhile, rest parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and northeastern states may continue to receive scattered light to moderate rainfall activities during the next 24 to 48 hours.
In Central India, light to moderate rains may occur at many places over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and Marathwada. However, isolated rainfall activities are possible at few places over West Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Down South, a trough is seen extending from Bihar up to Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Another trough is lying along the off shore from South Maharashtra up to Kerala. With this, good rains are expected to continue over Konkan and Goa, Karnataka and Kerala.
However, moderate showers may also occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But rains are likely to remain subdued over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka.
