Weather Forecast for Jun 15: Heavy rains in Northeast, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad

Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into South Chhattisgarh and at many parts over Odisha.

Meanwhile, Monsoon remained vigorous over Assam and Meghalaya during the last 24 hours, triggering massive floods over Assam and Mizoram.

Now let us take a look at the weather conditions prevailing across the country:

Up in North, a Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining areas.
With this, rains will once again commence over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

A trough is seen extending up to Assam across northwestern plains. Due to this trough, isolated dust storm and thundershower activities are also possible over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan.

A cyclonic circulation is also seen embedded on the trough over east Uttar Pradesh. Due to these systems, good rains are likely to occur over Bihar and Foothills of East Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha may also receive thundershower activities during the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Northeast India, especially flood hit Assam and Mizoram, will continue with moderate to heavy rainfall.

Another trough is running from circulation over East Uttar Pradesh up to North Tamil Nadu across Central India.

South Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh along with Vidarbha and Marathwada may receive scattered rains. Meanwhile, Madhya Maharashtra including Pune will also receive good rainfall activities.

In fact down South, good rains are also likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Meanwhile, the off shore along the West Coast has become less marked. With this, intensity of rains over Kerala and Konkan & Goa will now reduce. But Coastal Karnataka will continue with good rainfall.

Meanwhile, Monsoon will remain subdued over Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema.
