The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced covering entire Konkan & Goa including Mumbai, South Gujarat, most parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, and portions of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal.
In the last 24 hours, Monsoon remained vigorous over Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka, while it was active over Northeast India.
Let us now see the weather conditions across entire India:
The off-shore trough persists running from Maharashtra up to Karnataka. With this, light to moderate rains will continue over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and interior parts of Karnataka. The rain intensity is likely to reduce over Mumbai.
Scattered light rain is also expected over Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Hyderabad, while Monsoon will remain subdued over South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Bengaluru would also see light rains.
Up in North, the Western Disturbance is moving away eastwards, however scattered rains will continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Due to this, dust storm or thundershowers may occur over northern parts of Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana. The weather over rest of northwestern plains will remain hot and dry.
Coming to central region, light to moderate rains are expected over West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and a few places over Chhattisgarh. Weather of Gujarat and rest parts of Rajasthan will remain dry.
Live status of Lightning and thunder
Moving to east and northeast side, a cyclonic circulation lies over Bihar and a low pressure area is over Assam and Meghalaya. So, moderate to heavy rains are expected over northeastern states. Meanwhile, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, East Bihar may also see good rainfall. Scattered light thundershowers are also possible over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata and Coastal Odisha.
