After making timely onset, Southwest Monsoon continues to give good rain and thundershowers over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Konkan & Goa. Few places also recorded heavy to very heavy rains.
Now, rainfall is expected to decrease over Kerala and interior Karnataka, however will increase along the West Coast. Rain and thundershowers are also likely over interior parts of Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema, while hot and humid weather will persist over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Up in North India, the Western Disturbance has further moved eastwards and can now be seen over East Jammu and Kashmir.
Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Uttarakhand and adjoining North Uttar Pradesh. With this, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely over the northern hilly states of India. Squally winds cannot be ruled out over few parts.
Meanwhile, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh could see some isolated rain activity. Day temperatures over these areas are expected to increase. East and southeastern parts of Rajasthan may witness thunderstorm accompanied with dust storm.
A trough is extending from North Uttar Pradesh up to North of Bangladesh. In wake of this, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected over parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, while isolated to scattered rains are anticipated over Jharkhand, West Bengal including Kolkata and Odisha. Northeastern states will also continue with light to moderate showers.

Coming to central parts of the country, Madhya Pradesh, particularly western districts will record light rains. While adjoining areas of Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha will witness isolated rains.
