Weather Forecast for July 7: Depression in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to keep Monsoon active

Vigorous Monsoon conditions prevail over Central and East India, while the Peninsular region will witness subdued rains barring the West Coast.

The well- marked low pressure area over South Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas of Madhya Pradesh has intensified into a depression. This system seems to be a slow moving one and will linger on over this region for the next 3 days or so. It will bring heavy to very heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh North Marathwada and Vidarbha. But, Gujarat and Rajasthan will remain mainly dry.

In East India, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal will receive light to moderate rains.

Isolated places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh could receive heavy rains.

The cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining areas persist. The trough extending from this system up to West Bengal. Patchy rain and thundershowers are likely all along the trough line including Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.

In South Peninsula, the off shore trough will remain active mostly along North Coastal Karnataka and northern parts of Kerala. Konkan & Goa will also receive good rains. In rest of Peninsular India, Monsoon will remain subdued.
