Monsoon rainfall deficiency now stands at just 2%. Major rainfall contribution has come from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra during last 24 hours.
The low pressure area over Bihar & adjoining areas have intensified into a well-marked low pressure area. It could further strengthen into a depression, lying over Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas of Chhattisgarh. This weather system will keep Monsoon conditions active over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. Heavy rains are also likely along the foothills of Uttar Pradesh. In East India, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal will receive light to moderate rains.
Heavy Monsoon rains will continue over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
The cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining areas persist. We can also see a trough extending from this system, which will bring patchy rains over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.
In South Peninsula, the off shore trough will remain active along the West Coast. Heavy showers will be confined to Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa. Kerala will also receive good showers tomorrow. Monsoon will remain subdued over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and interiors of Karnataka.
Monsoon rains will negligible over Gujarat and Rajasthan. Uttarakhand will also witness better weather conditions now.
