Weather Forecast for July 5: Rain in Mumbai, Kolkata; Dry weather in Delhi, Punjab

In North, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over North Jammu and Kashmir. This would give isolated rains over the state along with its neighboring states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

A trough is extending from North Punjab to Assam across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Due to this, scattered rains are likely over North Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Isolated thunderstorm is also possible over Delhi and adjoining areas. Meanwhile, the weather over Punjab and West Rajasthan will remain dry.

Coming to east & northeast region, two cyclonic circulations are marked, one over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and another over Gangetic West Bengal. With this, moderate rains are expected over many parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and northeastern states. Few parts would also record heavy showers.

Moving to Central India, East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh may witness light to moderate showers, while isolated rains may occur over West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region. Most parts of Gujarat will remain dry however; scattered rains may show up over southern districts.

Down South, a feeble off shore trough is seen extending from Gujarat to North Kerala. With this, light to moderate rains will continue over Coastal Karnataka and Konkan and Goa. Isolated heavy spells cannot be ruled out over the region. Meanwhile, Kerala will see reduced activity.

Subdued rains are likely over Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Light showers may occur over Madhya Maharashtra.
