Southwest Monsoon seems to be vigorous in Central India as of now. We expect good amounts of rain to continue over East and Central India.
By tomorrow, we can expect the low pressure area to shift towards East Madhya Pradesh, bringing heavy rains over this region comprising of East Madhya Pradesh, adjoining areas of East Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Scattered good amounts of rains are likely in Southeast Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Bihar and Jharkhand. But the cyclonic circulation over Saurashtra and Kutch will bring light to moderate rains only.
The cyclonic circulation over Pakistan and adjoining Punjab region, along with the trough extending from this system will keep the weather partly cloudy over the plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Patchy rains cannot be ruled out over these areas. Up in Uttarakhand, weather conditions have improved significantly.
Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh will continue to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The off shore trough remains active over South Gujarat, Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall is likely to increase in Kerala as well. But, Monsoon will remain subdued over interiors of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. No rain likely in Bangalore or Chennai, but Mumbai will receive good showers.
