Weather Forecast for July 4: Rain in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Up North, a Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is also seen persisting over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. Axis of Monsoon trough is also seen extending from this system up to East Bihar across Uttar Pradesh.

Due to these systems, scattered rains may continue to occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, few places of Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh. However, many parts of Central Uttar Pradesh may record light to moderate rains during the next 24 hours.

While isolated thunderstorm activities are possible over Haryana and Delhi-NCR. The weather conditions over West Rajasthan will remain almost dry.

Coming to East and Northeast India, a trough is seen running through Bihar up to Bay of Bengal across Gangetic West Bengal. With this, good rains are expected to occur over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, while moderate to heavy spells may occur over northeastern states.

Scattered rains are also possible over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Coastal Odisha.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

In Central India, rain intensity is likely to reduce over South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, South and Central Andhra Pradesh. However, light to moderate rains may occur over North Chhattisgarh, North Madhya Pradesh and Southeast Rajasthan.

Down South, the offshore trough is running from South Gujarat up to Kerala. With this, good rains are likely to continue over South Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. While subdued rains are expected to occur over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
