Most parts of the country continue to witness Monsoon rains of varying intensity, particularly major cities of Mumbai and Delhi has recorded some good Monsoon showers.
The cyclonic circulation is seen over Haryana and Delhi-NCR. Moreover, the western end of the Monsoon trough is running through this system, while the eastern end of the trough has shifted southwards and is now extending across Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and further up to northwest Bay of Bengal. The Western Disturbance is also moving across Jammu and Kashmir. Now all these systems will continue to give moderate to heavy showers over plains of East Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and Uttar Pradesh. Rains will now increase over Jharkhand and West Bengal and both the states will see light to moderate rains on Sunday.
Further, a fresh cyclonic circulation is seen over northwest Bay of Bengal. In wake of this, rains will now pick up pace over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha will see good Monsoon rains on Sunday. Moreover, the system is likely to intensify into a low pressure area and move westwards, increasing the rains over Central India.
Meanwhile, the active off-shore trough is running from North Maharashtra up to Coastal Karnataka. With this, Maharashtra including Mumbai will continue with moderate to heavy rains.
