Entire country continues to witness rains of varying intensity barring parts of West Rajasthan. Particularly major cities of Mumbai and Delhi has recorded some good Monsoon showers.
All thanks to the active Monsoon surge on account of several weather systems across the country.
A cyclonic circulation is seen over Haryana and adjoining areas. Moreover, the western end of the Monsoon trough is also running through this system in close proximity of Delhi, while the eastern end of the trough is extending up to Northeast India across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The Western Disturbance is also moving across Jammu and Kashmir.
Now with the interaction between all these systems, good showers with isolated heavy spell may occur over plains of East Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and West Uttar Pradesh. East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will also carry on with light to moderate rains on Saturday.
Up in Northeast India, another cyclonic circulation is seen over Assam and Meghalaya. With this, mainly moderate rains will be observed over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Isolated heavy spells also cannot be ruled out.
Meanwhile, another trough is running southwards from this system up to Tamil Nadu across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and further along the East Coast.
Accordingly, we can expect light to moderate rains over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu including Chennai on Saturday.
Third cyclonic circulation can be seen over Gujarat region which will keep the Monsoon active over Gujarat and North Maharashtra. With this, light to moderate showers will continue over Gujarat, adjoining parts of Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Coastal Maharashtra. Mumbai is likely to see good rains on Saturday as well.
Meanwhile, rest of West Coast and interiors of Peninsular India will have mainly light Monsoon rains.
