Weather Forecast for July 29: Rain in Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chennai

A fresh Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this weather system, light to moderate rains may continue over Jammu and Kashmir and southern districts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The weather of Northwestern plains including Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh is expected to remain mainly dry. Though scattered light rains cannot be ruled out over these areas.

In Central India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over South Pakistan and adjoining Gujarat and Rajasthan region. Due to this, light to moderate rains along with one or two heavy spells may occur over South Rajasthan and Gujarat. But the flood like situation over Gujarat and Rajasthan may improve in the next 24 hours.

The intensity of rainfall over Madhya Pradesh is likely to reduce but Scattered light rains may continue to occur.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and East Madhya Pradesh will continue to see dry weather conditions. However, isolated light rains cannot be ruled out over these regions.

Coming to East and Northeast India, rains over the eastern parts of the country will reduce now. While scattered showers are possible at East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. While light to moderate rains may continue to occur over Coastal Odisha and northeastern states.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Down South, a feeble trough is seen extending from Gangetic West Bengal up to Tamil Nadu. Due to this, scattered showers are possible over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and northern parts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai. 

Meanwhile, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar islands may also continue to receive light to moderate rains. However weather of Interior Maharashtra, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Interior Tamil Nadu will remain dry. But few spells of isolated light rains may occur over these areas.
