The cyclonic circulation over Central India will be the driving factor for Southwest Monsoon over the next couple of days. Tomorrow we could see the cyclonic circulation lying over northern parts of Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh region. Tomorrow good showers are likely over Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and parts of Odisha. This weather system will gradually shift towards Southeast Rajasthan and Gujarat, bringing fair amounts of rainfall over these two states.

The Western Disturbance over Pakistan will interact with this circulation to bring rains along the Indo-Gangetic plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and West Uttar Pradesh. Uttarakhand and adjoining Himachal Pradesh should watch out for heavy showers.

We can see two troughs extending from this weather system. One is running up to Northeast India while the other one is going south, across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Entire East India will receive scattered light to moderate showers. Heavy showers will continue over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Assam floods have affected about 12.5 lakhs of people so far. And seems like, there is no relief in sight.

The interiors of Peninsular India will receive good rains tomorrow. Moderate rainfall activity will continue along the West Coast.

In fact, once again we could say that the entire country will witness Monsoon showers except for extreme West Rajasthan.
