The two Monsoon systems continue to drive the rain activity over most parts of the country.
The cyclonic circulation continues to be over central parts of Madhya Pradesh, while the other circulation is marked over South Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.
A trough can also be seen joining these two systems. With this, fairly widespread moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers are likely over Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Vidarbha and even over parts of North Interior Karnataka on Sunday.
Madhya Pradesh, Southwest Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan will continue to see good Monsoon showers during the next 48 hours.
Another trough is extending from this system along the coast of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, we can expect scattered light Monsoon rain across the well-marked trough line including Chennai.
These systems have also activated the off-shore trough running along the West Coast. Coastal Karnataka will continue with moderate to heavy, while rains will also enhance over Kerala.
They have also pulled down the Monsoon trough, wherein western arm of the trough is running across the northern plains, while eastern arm is passing through East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha and further up to Bay of Bengal.
In wake of this, we are likely to see light to moderate rain over Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will also see moderate to heavy showers.
Up in Northeast India, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya will also witness heavy to very heavy rains on Sunday.
