The well-marked low pressure area which battered both Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat with heavy to very heavy rains has now weakened into a low pressure area and is currently over West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. Waterlogging has been reported in many areas of Gujarat including Rajkot. Also, red alert has been issued in parts of Madhya Pradesh as well as Gujarat due to heavy rains. Now, the system is weakening and rain activity is likely to reduce over Gujarat and Kutch region. However, moderate with isolated heavy rains may occur over Western Gujarat and Kutch.
A trough is running across Madhya Pradesh which will give moderate rains over parts of Central and South Madhya Pradesh along with Chhattisgarh. Rainfall activity is likely to enhance in parts of Vidarbha as well. Isolated moderate rains are also likely over South Rajasthan.

The off shore trough is extending from Konkan to Kerala Coast. With this, Mumbai along with other parts of Konkan will witness moderate to heavy spells. Kerala and Karnataka Coast are also expected to witness good rains. Rainfall will increase over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Hyderabad. Subdued weather conditions will be seen over rest of Peninsular India.
In East India, the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay has become a low-pressure area. The system is likely to move in a west-northwest direction. Rainfall activity is expected to increase over parts of Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal as well as Jharkhand. Kolkata will also witness good rains. Rains will reduce over the state of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh.

Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will witness scattered light rains while other parts of Northeast are expected to witness moderate showers.
In North, a feeble Western Disturbance is currently over North Pakistan and North Jammu and Kashmir. With this, isolated rains are expected over Jammu and Kashmir with scattered showers over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Northwest Plains are likely to remain dry. However, the possibility of isolated patchy rains over Delhi and adjoining areas cannot be ruled out.
