The low-pressure area lies over Odisha and adjoining region. Therefore, we expect heavy to very heavy rains over many parts of Chhattisgarh, South Odisha, North Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Vidarbha region.
Further a cyclonic circulation lies over East Assam. Thus, scattered moderate rains are expected over the northeastern states, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Scattered light rains may also occur over Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand. However, light spells will occur over parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

A cyclonic circulation is over Gujarat and the axis of monsoon trough passes through Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. Therefore, East Gujarat and South Rajasthan will receive very heavy spells of rain. East Rajasthan will also receive moderate spells including Madhya Pradesh and interior Maharashtra.
As the off-shore trough is running from Maharashtra to Kerala. This system will give moderate to heavy rains over Coastal Maharashtra including Mumbai, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Meanwhile, scattered light rains are expected over interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

Due to shifting of the trough, rains are likely to decrease over the northwestern plains. However, light to moderate rains will continue over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Himachal and Uttarakhand will observe moderate spells and light rains will occur over Jammu and Kashmir.
