Moderate to heavy Monsoon rains will continue to lash many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Southeast Rajasthan and Gujarat during the next 24 hours. In fact, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha may also receive few good spells of rain. All thanks to the wind convergence zone over the region.
Mumbai rains will also make a comeback as rain intensity is now expected to increase over Konkan & Goa and adjoining Madhya Maharashtra. Meanwhile, rains will be scanty over Marathwada region.
In South India, the off-shore trough is running from Karnataka to Kerala Coast. Therefore, moderate to heavy showers will continue over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Meanwhile, Monsoon will remain subdued over Tamil Nadu.

On the East Coast, a cyclonic circulation is marked over North Odisha that would give moderate rains with few heavy spells over Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Odisha and Gametic West Bengal would see scattered rains, while light to moderate rains will continue over the northeastern states. But Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may receive one or two heavy spells of rain.
However, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will see light rains only.
Up in North India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and the axis of monsoon trough is also running via Rajasthan and South Uttar Pradesh. Thus, moderate rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, North Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh.
