A Western Disturbance is currently marked over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Himachal Pradesh. With this, moderate to heavy rains are expected to occur over the states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Also, a trough is extending from North Punjab across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Therefore, many areas of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and North Rajasthan will receive light to moderate showers. However, weather in West Rajasthan is expected to remain almost dry.
Coming to East India, a low-pressure area is seen over Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Northeast Madhya Pradesh. The system is likely to intensify into a well-marked low pressure area during the next 48 hours.

Under its influence, moderate to heavy rains are possible over many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha as well as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura. Rains will now reduce over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh leading to some relief from flood conditions in Assam.
Moving towards Central India, heavy to heavy rains may occur over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining North Chhattisgarh. Also, scattered light to moderate rains are expected over rest of Central India.

Down South, A trough is persisting along the Karnataka and Kerala coast, therefore good rains will continue over Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka and parts of Kerala. Rains are likely to witness an increase over Mumbai. Light rains are also possible over few parts of Gujarat.
Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka may receive scattered light rains. However, Monsoon will remain subdued over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
