Weather Forecast for July 12: Good rains expected over Madhya Pradesh, parts of Gujarat & Rajasthan

The cyclonic circulation which was lying over West Madhya Pradesh has now moved towards South Rajasthan, adjoining Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region. Another cyclonic circulation is now marked over East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh. Gradually these two systems are likely to merge together, bringing heavy showers at few places over West Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan and light to moderate showers over some parts of Gujarat. Southwest Monsoon likely to advance and cover remaining parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan during the next 24 hours.

South India, the off-shore trough along the West Coast remains active and as a result, scattered Monsoon rains are expected all along Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. However, interiors of Peninsular India will continue with subdued Monsoon rains.

Talking about East and Northeast India, Light to moderate rains are expected over eastern states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Scattered moderate showers will continue over parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Isolated places may have heavy rains.

Moving up to North India, the cyclonic circulation lying over Punjab, North Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan. The trough is extending from this system across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha up to Bay of Bengal. This trough is expected to cause some rain activity in northern plains.
