Weather Forecast for July 11: Rains in Chennai, Mumbai, Uttarakhand, Assam

A fresh Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. A trough is also seen extending from Punjab up to Gangetic West Bengal across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Due to these weather systems, moderate to heavy showers are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, foothills of Punjab, North Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Delhi may also receive isolated rainfall activity. The weather over western parts of Haryana and Rajasthan will remain dry.

Coming to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar. With this, moderate to heavy rains may occur over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and West Assam. While one or two places may even receive extremely heavy rainfall over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Good rains are also expected to continue over rest of the northeastern states, Jharkhand and North Odisha.

Coming to Central India, the weather conditions over West Madhya Pradesh will remain dry. However, East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh may record light to moderate rainfall activities. Isolated rains may also occur over Vidarbha and Gujarat region.

Down South, a feeble trough is seen running along the East Coast. Due to this trough, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu including Chennai may receive scattered rainfall activity.

Meanwhile, moderate rains with few heavy spells may occur at one or two places over Coastal Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka.

Monsoon rains will also pick up pace over Mumbai that may see moderate showers during the next 24 hours.
