Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance over some more parts of Rajasthan, entire Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours. The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Barmer, Chittorgarh, Guna, Siddhi and Patna.
In North, a fresh Western Disturbance is over North Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan. Although the intensity of rains are likely to reduce over the hilly states of North India, but scattered rains will continue. An induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Northeast Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Due to this, good showers are expected over entire northwestern plains including Delhi-NCR.
In east & northeast region, a cyclonic circulation lies over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar; therefore rains will increase over the region, which will mark the further advance of Southwest Monsoon over the areas. Another cyclonic circulation is marked over Jharkhand and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. Moreover, humid winds are also prevailing over Northeast India. As a result, light to moderate rains will occur over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. Kolkata could also see scattered rains. Meanwhile, good rains will continue to pound the northeastern states.

In West, a low pressure area is over Kutch region and a trough is running from this system to Assam. So, moderate rains with heavy falls over one or two places will occur over Gujarat and West Rajasthan.
In Central region, moderate rains with isolated heavy falls are expected over East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh, while Vidarbha and rest of Chhattisgarh will record scattered rains.

In down South, a feeble off shore trough extends from South Gujarat to Kerala Coast. With this, light to moderate rains will continue over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. One or two heavy spells cannot be ruled out over the region. Meanwhile, subdued rains are likely over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Telangana is also expected to receive scattered rains. Light showers may show up over Hyderabad but Bengaluru will remain dry.
