The Western Disturbance which was settling over Jammu and Kashmir is moving eastward and is likely to give light rain and snow on the night of 3rd.
A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact the region by January 4.
Minimum temperature in the hilly states and Punjab may rise marginally. Dense fog is expected at a few places over Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi NCR.
In Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation over Tripura may result in partly cloudy conditions in the region. However, rain is not expected here. Moderate to dense fog is likely at many places in the region.
The anti-cyclonic circulation over North Arabian Sea off Gujarat coast is likely to keep day temperatures in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Vidarbha above normal. Minimum temperature over western parts of Rajasthan may register a marginal fall.
Lastly, down south, no sign of any significant weather activity in Peninsular India. Both day and night temperatures in the region are expected to remain stable.
