January 27, 2016 6:38 PM | Skymet Weather Team

A fresh Western Disturbance is affecting hills of North India and is presently marked over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.

This will give fairly widespread rain and snow over entire Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and few parts of Uttarakhand during next 24 hours.

The system has induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab that will bring light showers over North Rajasthan and West Haryana from late Thursday evening.

Clouding and change in wind pattern will lead to slight drop in maximum temperatures across Northwest India, but minimums will be above normal.

Anti-cyclonic circulation over Madhya Pradesh will keep the weather dry over entire Central and West India with bright sunshine.

Moving on to Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation is still persisting over Meghalaya. With this, isolated light showers are likely over Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Peninsular India will continue to remain weather free with temperatures settling on the higher side. However, both Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands will record good rainfall on account of cyclonic circulation marked on each of them.

Delhi will witness maximum temperature of 23°C, while minimum will be around 11°C.

Mumbai will be warm at 33°C but nights will be comfortable with 17°C. Similarly, Bangalore will also be warm with day temperature of 29°C and 18°C.
