The wet spell over Central and East India is now coming to an end. Rains will now be confined to Peninsular India.
We do not expect any Western Disturbance to affect the Indian region till about 26th of January. The hills of North India will experience clear weather conditions. Cold weather conditions will prevail over the northern plains. We can expect cold wave and cold day conditions in some places of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan.
The anti-cyclone is making an appearance over west Rajasthan. This will lead to drop in temperatures over the northwestern plains. Single digit minimums are likely in parts of Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh as well.
The cyclonic circulation over Northeast India is also weakening. Only isolated light rains likely over Arunachal Pradesh and adjoining areas.
The wet spell is now on its way out. The confluence zone extending from Andhra Pradesh to Karnataka is showing signs of becoming less marked. For the next 2 to 3 days, rainfall activity will be confined to parts of Peninsular India. Only Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka will receive some rains.
A foggy morning likely all along the Indo Gangetic plains. Fog will make a comeback in East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Hazy conditions likely throughout the day in the Northern plains.
Minimums will remain in single digits over North India. In Delhi, maximum and minimum will be at 17°C and 8°C, respectively. Day temperature will be in lowers twenties in most parts of East India.
The effect of cold weather conditions will trickle down to Gujarat. Minimum in the capital of the state will come down to 12°C.
Rain in Bangalore will bring down day temperature to 26°C.
