With Western Disturbance clearing away, hilly region of North India will now witness clear weather conditions. Cold and dry northwesterly winds will once again start blowing over the region. Minimum temperatures will now dip significantly, leading to increase in wintry chill over the hilly states. Northwestern plains will also witness further drop in both day and night temperatures. As a result, moderate to dense fog is likely over several parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Moving on to central parts of the country, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Maharashtra and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile anticyclonic circulation is marked over Odisha and adjoining areas. The two opposing winds from both the system are forming a confluence zone over the Central India. As a result, isolated light rain may occur over some pockets of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra on Saturday.
Up in Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation is still prevailing over Assam and adjoining areas, giving isolated light rain over parts of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Peninsular India will continue to be dry with partly cloudy sky.
Maximum temperature has dropped marginally to 17°C, while the minimum temperatures will sip significantly and settle around 8°C. While Mumbai and Bengaluru will be warm at 28°C. While, minimums will settle around 18°C and 14°C, respectively.
