Weather Forecast for January 15: Minimum temperatures to drop Northwestern Plains

The Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir and is likely to clear the region during next 24 hours.

Isolated light rain and snow may occur over the higher reaches of the hilly states. However, better weather conditions will prevail over the region now onwards.

Northwestern plains will also witness clear weather conditions on Friday. Cold and dry northwesterly winds will once again start blowing over the region leading to significant decrease in minimum temperatures by 3-4°C.

A confluence zone is likely to form over the region due to interaction between two opposing winds from northern region and anti-cyclonic circulation over Odisha.

With this, isolated light rain may occur over some pockets of Madhya Pradesh on Friday.

Up in Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation is still prevailing over Assam and adjoining areas, giving isolated light rain over parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Peninsular India will continue to be dry with partly cloudy sky.

Maximum temperature in Delhi has dropped marginally to 22°C, while the minimum temperatures has Dip significantly and has settled around 10°C.

While day in Mumbai and Bengaluru are warm at 29°C. While, minimums are around 15°C and 18°C, respectively.
