To start with the weather of North, a Western Disturbance is prevailing over North Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan. With this, light rain and snow may occur at some places over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Rest of the North Indian Hills will continue with dry weather. Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog will persist over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Days would be sunny, with cold nights.

Moving to Central India, the weather will remain dry over the entire region. Days would be pleasant, while nights would be cold. Sky would remain clear.
In East and Northeast India, the weather over eastern parts of the country will remain dry with very dense fog during the morning hours over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Cold day conditions will be seen at some places over the mentioned areas. Meanwhile, moderate to dense fog will occur over northeastern states, followed with dry weather.
Lastly in South India, a low pressure area is seen over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea. This weather system is most likely to move west-northwestwards and thus influence the weather over Tamil Nadu after 24 hours in terms of rain.

Coastal Tamil Nadu would start receiving light rain at few parts today onward and subsequently the rain belt will reach up to Chennai during the next 48 hours. Besides this, light to moderate rains are anticipated over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Weather over South Peninsula will remain dry.
