Cold day conditions continued to grip Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and parts of Punjab and Haryana. Meanwhile, cold wave conditions were seen over East Rajasthan, parts of Madhya Pradesh and isolated pockets of Vidarbha. Dense fog continued over Indo-Gangetic Plains, right from Punjab to Northeast India.

Coming back to the weather forecast of North and Northwest India, the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir has moved away eastwards, however isolated rains are predicted over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the weather over entire northwestern plains will remain dry. Dense fog will occur over many places of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Talking about Delhi pollution, we have seen slight improvement but pollution is still under the ‘poor’ category at many places.
In Central India, the weather will remain dry over the entire region. Minimum temperatures over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and parts of Chhattisgarh will continue to settle below the normal. In fact, cold wave conditions are likely over parts of East Madhya Pradesh and isolated chunks of Vidarbha.

East and Northeast India, dense to very dense fog will persist over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. With this, day temperatures at most places will continue to settle below 16 degrees Celsius, paving way for cold day conditions. Moderate to dense fog will occur over Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.
Lastly in South India, the persisting cyclonic circulation over Andaman Sea will give rains of moderate to heavy intensity over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Nights will remain cool and comfortable over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Weather of entire southern peninsula will remain dry.
