Let’s first take a look at the major events in weather across India: Northwest India is under the grip of cold wave and cold day conditions. While Mount Abu recorded sub-zero temperatures for the second consecutive day, Sikar also registered freezing temperature on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, the pollution levels in Delhi and NCR have once again become severe. After a prolonged spell of dry weather, northeastern states saw some rains. Andaman and Nicobar Islands too recorded heavy rains.

Coming back to North and Northwest India weather, a Western Disturbance is prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir. With this, we can expect isolated rain and snow over the higher reaches of the state. Rest of the North Indian Hills will continue with dry weather.
An induced cyclonic circulation can be seen over Central Pakistan. Therefore, dense to very dense fog will persist over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, parts of North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Cold day conditions will continue over Punjab, parts of Haryana and Southwest Uttar Pradesh. While cold wave conditions would be seen over South Haryana and Rajasthan. Talking about Delhi Pollution, the pollution levels over the national capital will stay as severe.
Moving to Central India, the weather will remain dry over the entire region. South Rajasthan is predicted to register freezing minimums. Days are expected to remain comfortable over the entire central region inclusive of South Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
In East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over Southeast Bangladesh and adjoining area. With this, we expect light to moderate rains to continue over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, only at isolated areas. The weather over eastern parts of the country will remain dry with moderate fog during the morning hours over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Lastly in South India, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over South Andaman Sea. In wake of this, moderate to heavy rains are anticipated over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. South Tamil Nadu and South Kerala will too witness isolated light rains. Weather over Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will remain dry and comfortable.
