Weather Forecast for Jan 27: Fog in Delhi, dry weather in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru

Talking about weather of North India, a Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan. Also, an induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan. However, weather will remain dry on January 27 over the hills, but we expect isolated rain activities over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir on January 28.

Dry and cold winds from northwest will continue over Northwest Plains and weather will remain dry over entire Northwest India during the weekend. Moderate to dense fog is expected over parts of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and isolated pockets of Delhi-NCR on both January 27 and 28.

Coming to Central India, temperatures of Central India particularly Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh will remain below normal on Saturday and Sunday. Weather will remain dry. Meanwhile, Konkan and Goa along with North Maharashtra will have cool nights and warm day.

Moving on to East and Northeast India, moderate to dense fog may reappear over parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. A cyclonic circulation is over South Assam, this system will give light rain and snow over Arunachal Pradesh during next 48 hours. Weather of remaining areas will remain dry. Moderate to shallow fog is expected in parts of Northeast India on January 27 and 28.

Down South, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Southwest and adjoining Southcentral Bay of Bengal. A trough is extending up to South Tamil Nadu. However, weather of entire Southern Peninsula will remain dry during the next 48 hours. Rain belt may extend up to Sri Lanka, but Indian coast will remain unaffected.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Talking about the major cities of India, Delhi will be foggy during morning, sunny during the day, while cold nights are expected. Meanwhile, cool morning and warm day are expected over Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. On the other hand, Chennai, and Bengaluru will remain comfortable during the night with slightly warm days.
