Weather Forecast for Jan 25: Heavy Snow in Kashmir, Himachal; Rain in Punjab, Delhi, Haryana

An active Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation can be now be seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab. In wake of these systems, widespread rain and snow with few heavy to very heavy spells may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, northwestern plains will witness fairly widespread rain and thundershowers. Isolated hailstorm can also occur over Punjab, northern parts of Haryana and Rajasthan.

Dry weather will continue over central parts of the country, with partly cloudy sky over Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh. In fact, Gujarat may record isolated rain.

In Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bangladesh and adjoining areas. Due to this, moderate fog can occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Down South, the trough of low has moved further westwards and is now marked over South Tamil Nadu. In wake of this, rain and thundershowers are likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and parts of South Interior Karnataka including Bangalore.

Andaman and Nicobar islands will also continue to record light rains.
