Weather Forecast for Jan 25: Fog in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Rain in Andaman, Assam, Arunachal, Nagaland

The persisting Western Disturbance has moved away after affecting the Western Himalayas in terms of rain and snow. Now, another feeble Western Disturbance is expected to influence the Western Himalayas. This weather system is presently over North Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan. But as the system is weak in nature, so the weather over the North Indian Hills will remain dry. Meanwhile, the northwestern plains of the country will now settle with dry weather. Here, minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Maximums that had already dropped significantly over the region during the last 24 hours will now start increasing and settle near and around the normal level. Furthermore, moderate to dense fog may come back over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan.

Moving to Central India, minimum temperatures are likely to drop over Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and many parts of Maharashtra. The entire region would witness clear sky and dry weather. An anti-cyclone is seen over Gujarat region. With this, nights would be pleasant, with warm and sunny days over the region.

Talking about East and Northeast India, the blanket of thick fog is likely to abate East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. With this, the cold day conditions that have maintain its grip from so long over the stated regions will also take a back seat.

Moving further, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over East Bangladesh. With this, light rains are possible over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and northern portion of Nagaland. Also, the higher reaches of Arunachal Pradesh would witness light snowfall.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Lastly in South, a cyclonic circulation is seen over south-central Bay of Bengal and a trough is extending from this system up to Sri Lanka. Hence, scattered rains will occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The weather over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will remain dry. Minimum temperatures of Telangana are expected to fall marginally.
