The Western Disturbance is persisting over Jammu and Kashmir, which will continue to give light to moderate rain and snow over the state, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Isolated rain may also occur over North Punjab and Northwest Uttar Pradesh.
Dry and chilly winds from snow-clad Himalayas will continue to blow across the northwestern plains. With this, minimum temperatures will remain below normal over the region. Thus, the chill factor will continue due to these moderate winds.
Dry and clear weather conditions will continue over eastern and central parts of the country, leading to marginal drop in night temperatures, particularly over North Madhya Pradesh.
Down South, no major change is expected in both day and night temperatures and the weather of South Peninsula will remain dry.
A trough extending from South Arabian Sea up to South Bay of Bengal will give scattered rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
