Weather Forecast for Jan 18: Rain in Kashmir, Kerala, Andaman, Fog in Punjab, Haryana

A Western disturbance is prevailing over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. So, light rain and snow will continue over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the sky would remain partly cloudy over remaining parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

A feeble cyclonic circulation is seen over Rajasthan. As this system is weak in nature, so no significant weather activity is expected over Northwest India. Northwesterly winds will continue to prevail across the region. With this, dense fog is expected over pockets of Punjab and Haryana. Delhi will also observe shallow fog.

Talking about East and Northeast India, the weather would remain dry. Dense fog would prevail over many parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Shallow to moderate fog is also expected in parts of Northeast India.

Moving to Central India, the weather will continue to remain dry over the entire area. The mercury is likely to drop by few notches across Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Last of all in South, a trough is extending along the Kerala coast. With this, isolated light rain is possible over Kerala and Lakshadweep. Dry weather will persist over rest of southern peninsula. Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea and Malay Peninsula will give scattered rain over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
